About the Author

Jeremy Collier is a former foster youth who spent time in the system from the age of 10 until he emancipated at the age of 18. He is a strong advocate for bettering the lives of current and former youth who spent time in the system. After aging out, he went on to obtain his Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Cincinnati and a Master of Business Administration from Western Governors University.

Sharing his story is one of the ways he hopes to help others overcome the hardships in their lives and to show them that no matter what they face, they can become a success. He has worked with other foster youth and advocates to change laws and provide testimony that shows the changes that need to be made to give foster youth a fighting chance both while in foster care and when they age out or get reunited with their families.

Jeremy lives in Milford, Ohio with his wife Ashley and their two children. He believes in fighting for what you believe in and being the change you want to see in the world.
